Wow, everyone—we did it! 🎉
We’re thrilled to share the success of our very first rug-tufting class at Tufted Whiskers, and what an incredible experience it was! For those who joined us, a huge THANK YOU! Your enthusiasm filled our hearts (and our class), making it an unforgettable kickoff.
Transitioning from teaching two or three people to a full class of six came with its fair share of challenges. Lauren may have forgotten a few screws (literally, not figuratively 😅), but we made it work! As the sun set, we were reminded that we’re stepping into the coziest time of the year—the “Ber” Months. Fall is nearly here, bringing tea, pumpkin spice, cat cuddles, and those oh-so-comfy nights. Perfect for a date night making cozy rugs even! Thank goodness for twinkle lights and our trusty renovation work light!

1. New Class Dates Are Coming Soon! 🗓️
We’re currently finalizing new class dates with our partners at the Massachusetts Avenue Project. We can’t wait to announce them, so keep an eye out for an update on our Class Page or sign up for our list to get an email in your inbox. We’re as excited as a cat with a new ball of yarn!
2. Partnering with Local Rescues to Make a Difference 🐾
We’ve officially partnered with West Side Cat Rescue, and we have some meow-tastic events on the horizon! Discount spay and neuter days are scheduled for Friday, September 13th, and Monday, October 21st. These spots fill up fast, so if your furry friend is in need, reach out to us ASAP.
How Can You Help? You can donate cat supplies on these days or schedule a pickup with us for a future date. We’re also accepting donations at the Cat Shack next to 5 Points Bakery or on our porch at 389 Vermont Street (just don’t judge our curb appeal—we’re still renovating!).

Tufted Whiskers was born from a deep passion for art and a commitment to supporting animals. We have big plans, like using yarn donations to make cozy beds for all rescue animals and hosting classes that raise funds for those in need.
